Jess here, writing to you from our cozy new home in Cheltenham. Ruby and I have been settling in nicely with Bella, Max, and our latest furry addition, Whiskers the cat. But today’s story isn’t just about our fur family; it’s about the latest passion that’s taken our household by storm – Ruby’s newfound love for DIY!
Since moving to Cheltenham, Ruby has discovered the joys of rolling up her sleeves and diving into DIY projects, and honestly, our home has never looked more unique and pet-friendly! Thanks to a fantastic shop for building supplies near Cheltenham, our weekends are now filled with exciting trips picking up everything from lumber to the quirkiest cabinet knobs you can imagine.
Ruby’s first masterpiece was a custom-built cat tree for Whiskers, complete with scratching posts, cozy nooks, and even a little hammock. Watching Whiskers leap from level to level, her eyes wide with feline curiosity, is a sight to behold! But Ruby didn’t stop there. Our local Cheltenham store for electrical supplies has become a frequent destination, helping her bring to life an array of innovative pet-friendly gadgets.
Bella and Max are now the proud owners of a self-filling water bowl, powered by a little DIY magic and some nifty supplies from the hardware store. And let’s not forget the pièce de résistance – a custom-built, under-stair dog nook, complete with soft lighting and plush cushions, making it the perfect retreat for our canine companions.
Our living room now boasts a beautiful, handcrafted coffee table (with discreet, built-in pet beds underneath), and our garden is home to an array of pet-friendly plants, potted in vibrant, Ruby-made planters. It seems like every corner of our home has a sprinkle of Ruby’s DIY flair, blending functionality with a whole lot of love.
Thanks to the hardware store, Ruby’s creativity knows no bounds, and our home has become a testament to her passion and handiwork. It’s amazing how a few trips to the right stores, armed with a vision and a bit of elbow grease, can transform a space into something truly special.
